  • Typing text.
  • Keyboard usage.

    Exercise:1



    Explain: Windows on, icons, System tray, Shut down, Restart

  • To start Windows first press the ‘Power On’ button.
  • Now Windows will start.
  • You would see many icons in the Desktop area.
  • Move the cursor across the icons
  • Double-click the ‘Open Office’ icon –> text document.
  • See the current time and date in the system tray.
  • Type the date and time in the Text document.
  • Close it.
  • Then look at the charger percentage in the system tray.
  • Then click on the ‘Start’ button and then click the ‘Restart’ option to restart your computer.
  • Finally click to the ‘Start’ button and then click the ‘Shutdown’ button or use the shortcut key for shut down (Alt + F4) to shut down your Computer.

    Teacher Instruction
    1. Explain the solution to the Students in detail.
    2. Allow Students to watch the movie with the solution.
    3. After the Students watch the movie, make them try the same independently without seeing the video.
    4. Use the words “Power button”, “Task Bar”, “System tray”, etc. when teaching. They need to become familiar with these words.
